What are the empty spaces in a medicinal tablet for?

1. Sometimes empty places are connected to the tablet. This avoids any unwanted chemical reaction to intensify further. Some times antioxidants are placed in such spaces to avoid degradation. They don't have a chance of mixing because of intactness.

2. They are produced massively.  The packaging gets damaged while loading, moving and unloading. The empty spaces give cushioning effect. Otherwise damage costs are huge even with 500 tablets to company[Ivermectol costs 30k Rupees! in such case. Below], pharmacist and every one in between the business chain.

3. The information rules. Every tablet packaging needs to specify manufacturing address, contact address, type and formula of  formulation, precautions ,method of intake, side effects (this is on main box generally), information like scheduled H? narcotic-class? In US, it is scheduled 1 2 etc. [Refer forensic pharmacy, dispensing pharmacy and drugscontrol.org]. While you are giving such space imagine how would the packaging be without the empty spaces. Unstable and forming heap within a box. With the empty spaces, its like floored and neat packing .

4. Spaciousness gives a feel that the tablet is worth the cost. We think great care wouldn't be taken for such tablet if it weren't important. Otherwise the company could save huge by cramming 10 in one strip nah! Actually no its not costing a dime to care at all.
